New Orleans JazzFest

Images from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is like no other event, encompassing around 11 stages and dozens of food booths, along with parades, interviews, plus crafts and cooking demonstartions. I first started going in 1987 and, although I've skipped it a few times in recent years, it has provided me with countless unique expreriences. In the 1990s I was publishing BLUES ACCESS magazine and was able to get a photo pass to shoot musicians from close up. Most of those years I was shooting with film and maybe one day I'll digitize some of those images. For now, here are some memorable moments shot digitally.
